Lovely place to bring the kids. Lots to explore, has a nice play area and lots to see/do. The kids especially love feeding all of the fish! The cafe has a great selection of food and drinks, the scones especially are delicious!
Wonderful place. The gardens are a must see. So many different areas, lots of thought have gone into the gardens, grounds, areas. Wonderful. You kust feed the carp fish! Tea rooms - Afternoon Tea was delicious. The ironmongers, pottery staff and the staff within the areas were most friendly and welcoming
Second visit this month, first time with our grandsons. Staff really friendly and helpful. Carp feeding was fantastic for the boys. The carp practically jump out of the water! Animals and enchanted garden a big hit too. Play area lovely. Very reasonably priced with discounts for NHS blue light card and also special needs customers. Toilets lovely and clean. Small gift shop which is not expensive. What's not to love? Boys taking Mummy and Daddy next time.
Expecting the Hall to be open to the public, but unfortunately not, never has been. The Gardens are fantastic taking in views of various flowering plants, as well as tree's of different varieties. A joy for children, would be the many types of animals to be be seen in large pens & aviaries with colourful birds, including a pair of Indian owls, on their way around the Gardens. There is also a kids playground. A cafe in the courtyard to begin & end your travels.
A lovely place for a walk around the lake & Gardens. There's plenty to keep children entertained, they can feed the fish & ducks, pet the animals & there's a large play area. I would definitely recommend.
Cost 6.25 per person there is a nice car park and cafe which you can go to and not pay as it's just before the park itself, it's not dog friendly but does have animals so that's probably why. you can buy fish food for £1 which I thought was quite good and there are lots of fish wanting to eat it. It's a really pretty place to walk around and enjoy the gardens and lake they also have some ponies, donkeys, llamas and other animals about to see too. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area xx
Had a lovely walk around the gardens today with my family. The staff are friendly and helpful and the gardens are very well kept even tho it's autumn. We all enjoyed it and managed to grab a few snaps. Unfortunately the cafe was out of jacket potato's, hopefully we'll be able to grab one next time round as we will definitely be returning in the future.
Lovely place to visit, alpacas, gosts sheep, peacocks, ducks and carp to name a few animals, along with a nice lake and garden walk.
Nice cafe serving great food.
A great forge with lovely reasonably priced piece of ironwork
